Brake cooling complete set suitable for Audi TTS 8J anchor plate air inlet funnel
Our complete brake cooling set for the Audi TTS 8J was built especially for this car to reduce the temperature of the brakes on the racetrack. The set consists of a pair of anchor plates, 1 set of air inlet funnels for the fog light opening, as well as a hose and hose clamps.
The brake cooling works thanks to the air that we bring from the front of the vehicle via a flexible hose to the hose connection from the anchor plate directly to the brake.
The hose must be approx. 1.25m per side of the vehicle. After approx. 25cm, the tube must be compressed to a width of approx. 3cm in the vice (see photo). This is necessary to avoid grinding of the rim and tire even when the steering wheel is fully turned!
We installed the entire set ourselves in our house. The empirical values refer to a tire width of 265mm with the use of 10mm track plates. Depending on the ET of the rim and the width of the tire, the tube can be guided safely through the wheel arch without being compressed.
The wheel arches also need a little work. We tried to take enough photos of the installation so that you have as few problems as possible.
